Moonbow!

This is not a good photo. I’m sorry. I should really figure out how to take better night time photos. I live in awe of those people who can!

Nevertheless, here is a photo I took on Monday night, I believe the moon was a sliver off full but close enough to make no real difference, and it had a very neat ring around it, which was shown against the bottom of that band of cloud. I had less blurry photos, but this was the one that showed the ring off best…

Rainbow around the moon = moonbow 😀

Have a great day

  1. I think that’s a brilliant photograph,if you don’t mind me disagreeing with you.

    • My mentor at the art college would be telling me off for the fuzziness and goodness knows what else 😀 But, I do not mind in the least you disagreeing with me! All I know, is that it makes me smile, so I thought I’d share it, fuzziness, camera skills lacking, and all. And THANK YOU for commenting, and liking it! 🙂

  2. Use a tripod. Set your f stop at f8 if you can, and keep your shutter speed up over 1/250th of a second… because the moon is always moving.

    • thank you! I shall get a tripod, and google those terms so I can translate what you just said :D. The moon moves FAST! Love it 🙂

      • One more thing… focus on infinity. All the rest, my pleasure. 🙂 And, tell your mentor to be nice to you. This stuff is supposed to be fun. 🙂 if you want more from me about technique… raylaskowitz.hubpages.com Have a look. I think you might enjoy it. I ramble around, but I also actually teach.

      • infinity! 😀 Sure! 😀 It’s hard to focus on the moon, so maybe infinity will be easier. Can you tell I’m a total noob? 😀 I’ll come and stalk you, yes I will.

      • Stalk away… 🙂

  3. Love it 🙂
