Deep South Ice-cream:Boysenberry Ripple
I saw this when I was shopping and had to check it out
Pretty packaging: I fall for it every time.
The Deep South company has a website –http://www.deepsouthicecream.co.nz/en/index.cfm. Their blurbs states: “We are a New Zealand owned and operated business, manufacturing award-winning ice cream from two factories in the South Island of New Zealand, one in Invercargill and one in Christchurch. Deep South Ice Cream is a member of the New Zealand Ice Cream Manufacturers’ Association (NZICMA) www.nzicecream.org.nz”
This is a 2 Litre Icecream. Oh yeah. It’s at least as good as Tip Top – creamy, rich. There is a lot more boysensberry in it than it looks from the photo, too. And look at the photo! Look at the gorgeous waves in the icecream – very visually appealing with the boysenberry swirled through the vanilla. Supporting New Zealand Made (and a smaller company than Tip Top) never tasted so good.
I got mine from Countdown, so Foodtown and Woolworths should also stock their range. Prices seem to range between $4.90 and $6.00 ish – depending on whether they are on special or not. Pretty equivalent to the rest! Are you hungry now? Sorry, Sister V!
